MANUFACTURING FACILTIY
The manufacturing facility of Super Chemicals Private Limited comprises of two plants; one for the production of Formaldehyde and other for the production of Urea Formaldehyde Resin (Glue).
SCL Formaldehyde plant further consist of four units having total capacity of 100,000 M. T per annum (UF (85%, 28900 M Tons per annum) which is among the largest production capacity in the country. First unit started production in January 1994 with annual capacity of 10,000 M Tons per annum of Formaldehyde and the second unit with the capacity of 20,000 M Tons per annum started production in March 1997 and the third unit of further 20000 M Tons started in April 2008. Unit Four was started on July 2012 with the production capacity of 50,000 M.T per annum.
Three formaldehyde plants are based on the license and technical know-how supplied by M/s Alder S.p.A of Italy who is the manufacturer of wide range of products based on Formaldehyde for various industrial applications. M/s. Alder S.p.A process for (UFC-85%) is most modern and sophisticated which is based on iron molybdenum-oxide catalyst with the maximum yield or methanol conversion ratio. It can be manufactured up to 55% Formaldehyde solution in water and 85% Urea Formaldehyde Concentrate (UF-85%) directly in the plant. M/s Alder S.p.A have so far licensed a large number of plants in Europe, Asia, South America, North America and these plants are giving the optimum yield of high quality. SCL unit four of Chinese origin is based on Silver Catalyst.
The Urea Formaldehyde Resin (Glue) plant has also been technically backed and supported by well known European suppliers. This plant having five reactors is fully capable to produce various grades of Resin (Glue) as per customers’ requirement. The total capacity of Urea Formaldehyde Resin (Glue) is 120 M Tons per day and UF (85%) concentrate is 100 M Tons per day.
